M. R. LeBlanc
PLC Technician Graduate

M. R. LeBlanc, National Systems Advisor with a leading Canadian Petroleum Manufacturer/Distributor, registered in the PLC program at George Brown College to get broad based training and an overall perspective regarding PLC’s. “Part of my responsibilities at my company is to review all PLC program modifications and additions made by our consultants across Canada. This program helped me to ensure I had a strong base of knowledge. While a manufacturer specific course would have taught me how to use their specialty PLC, the George Brown College PLC program helped me get that strong base.

“The part I enjoyed most was the ability to do the coursework at my own pace. While having many work commitments, including travelling, I was able to study from anywhere with a windows based computer. This option allowed me to complete the program, keep my employer happy and still spend quality time with my children. (vs. mandatory course curriculum and physical attendance) “

“The Resource Center was great. I had many questions and gave other students feedback in the Student forum. The course monitor\teacher was very quick to respond and could assist with using our knowledge and applying it to real world applications. I called Tech Support a few times and they were very helpful and took care of my needs each time before I hung-up. Rather than just calling a call center for help, it felt like I was calling a good neighbor, a friendly person on the other end of the line that was very helpful and personable"
